Daily/Weekly Preventive Maintenance of Summit CNC Machines
This is a quick daily or weekly checklist for preventive maintenance on the Flat bed CNC lathe. This routine will prevent your production from being slowed down by simple mistakes with the horizontal CNC lathe machine.
1. Check the coolant level.
2. Replace the coolant filter. However, the frequency depends on the type of material used. For example, cast iron creates a slushy substance that can quickly clog the filter, requiring more frequent replacement.
3. Check all hydraulic systems and make sure there are no leaks.
4. Check all air supplies to make sure they are dry and clean.
5. Make sure that the moving parts of the machine are fully lubricated.
6. Make sure all moving parts, including chuck and spindle, are clean.
7. Make sure to clean the chips, but do not use the blower to prevent damage.
